Don’t miss out on last minute funding opportunities!

We all know waiting until the last minute to prepare a grant application is not the best approach. However, unforeseen circumstances can arise or unexpected opportunities surface. Jono Marcus Consulting can help.

Since 2003, Jono Marcus Consulting has helped for-profit and non-profit agencies hone their vision, develop their programs, raise targeted funds, communicate their mission, and write grants to federal, county, city, foundation, and corporate funders. Jono Marcus Consulting has written successful grant proposals worth over $20 million.

The breadth and depth of our experience with many different organizations enables us to respond quickly to any grant request. After an initial consultation to get an understanding of your organization and the opportunity, we will create a grant proposal within the timeframe available, factoring in time for your review.

Before we take on your last minute request, however, we need to be sure that your agency has the basic requirements necessary to proceed. Please read the information below about grant readiness and complete the readiness survey. Once you submit your survey, we’ll call you within 4 hours (5am to 7pm Pacific Standard Time) to discuss your opportunity and explore how we can help.

If you are ready with the necessary documentation and planning, we will turn your grant application around in time for submission (96 hours or less in most cases). The fee for this service depends on the scope of work, but averages about $150-$180 per hour.

Don’t miss out on funding to support your mission just because the deadline is near. Let us help!

Are you ready to pursue a last minute grant opportunity?

  • Does your agency meet all the requirements of the funder? This might include geography, mission, client population, years of operation, and type of activity.
  • Does your agency have the legal and financial paperwork required by the funding organization?  These documents include a 501c3 certification letter from the IRS, one or more years of 990 returns reporting your agency’s income to the IRS, or your most recent audited financial statement.
  • Does your agency have the organizational documentation required for the grant application? Documentation requested often includes a board list, staff list, the agency’s operating budget, a program budget, organizational chart, and Memorandums of Understanding (if partnering with another agency).
  • Do you have a solid program plan and budget to support the grant request along with data supporting the need for the program?  If you are requesting support for a specific program or activity, you need to have a budget showing projected expenses and funding sources for the program. You should also have a good definition of the goals, objectives, and expected outcomes for the program as well as statistics that show the need for the program or service.
  • Do you have a diversified funding base? Or if not, do you have a funding plan? Funders want to be sure the organization has the capacity to implement the proposed project and sustain it past the grant period.
